FLEA SEASON BEGINS

We know a lot of you stop flea control in the winter when it gets colder and that's OK. The problem is knowing when to re-start in the spring. If you wait until you are seeing fleas, then you have waited too long. The goal is to head them off before they start reproducing in earnest. THAT MEANS START NOW!

When the days grown longer, female cats begin to cycle and it won't be long before the year's kittens are born in multitudes. Can you help in some way? Do you want to?

Adopt a Kitten - The Rescue groups and shelters will be full of kittens all the way into the fall.

Spay/Neuter Your Cat - Go to LAAnimalServices.com and download a voucher for $30 towards sterilization (Los Angeles residents only).

Foster a Kitten - Kittens must be 8 weeks old for adoption but lots of underage kittens find their way to the shelter. The city depends on the public to help raise these orphans. Puppies need fostering, too. Fill out an application at LAAnimalServices.com.

Bottle an Infant Kitten - Lots of people find abandoned kittens in the yard. Raising them can be a very rewarding experience. We have instructions at our Orphan Puppy and Kitten page, and don't forget the kitten manual at LAAnimalServices.com. The city shelter will provide free spay/neuter for kittens raised to the appropriate age.
