• VISITORS CAN BE STRESSFUL. If you are going to need a pet tranquilizer, don't wait until the last minute.
  
  
• GRILLING CAN BE HAZARDOUS. Corn cobs, skewers, and bones can make deadly foreign bodies.

CAUSED BY GRAIN-FREE DIETS?

And it isn't only grain-free diets. It is also unusual ingredients and "boutique" brands. It isn't only breeds normally predisposed to genetically weak heart muscles. It isn't only breeds predisposed to taurine deficiency and it isn't a taurine deficiency. We still don't know what it is but changing to a conventional diet leads to marked improvement quickly.

We will keep you informed as information comes in. Right now here are the recommendations:

• Stick to major brands of pet food.
  
  
• Don't feed a diet that lists beans, peas, lentils or tapioca in the first 5 ingredients.
  
  
• Leave the exotic protein sources to food allergic dogs.
