We are opening up banner

After over a year of curbside service, we are happy (overjoyed!) to announce we will be opening our doors once again!  We missed you and we're so glad to have you back.

WHAT TO EXPECT

  • Limited capacity - We are allowing three adults in our dog waiting room and two adults in our cat waiting room. If you enter the building and find us already at our capacity, please wait on the porch for your turn. You may call or text us at 310-391-6741 to check in and we'll be with you as soon as we can.

  • Masks Optional for Patrons - L.A. County has lifted its mask mandate as well as social distance requirements but CAL OSHA is still working out its own guidelines for the work place so don't be surprised if our staff is masked.

  • Vaccination Clinic Every Day - As our gift to the community and to control crowding, we have been offering vaccination clinic pricing every day, 7 days a week throughout the pandemic. This will continue at least through the end of the month so take advantage of the reduced pricing while it is still underway.

Curbside service and Telehealth will never substitute for a face to face consultation.
It is our pleasure to bring you back inside to provide the best experience for you and your pet.

GOODBYE, DR. MOORE

DR. MOORE

After 22 years of service to our community and over 30 years in practice Dr. Moore will be retiring from regular small animal practice at the end of this month. A native of Los Angeles, Dr. Moore attended the University of California at Davis for her entire college career, obtaining first a bachelor’s degree in genetics, and then her DVM degree in 1988. Dr. Moore practiced in northern California for five years before relocating back to L.A. in 1993. As a veterinary school classmate of Dr. Brooks, Dr. Moore has shared the same practice philosophy of offering the most up to date expertise in veterinary medicine to each and every patient and owner.

Dr. Moore is a published author of four fantasy fiction novels (The Griffin's Daughter trilogy and Skein of Fates, first book of the Nuetierra Chronicles trilogy), all available through amazon.com. She leaves us to pursue other passions and we wish her all the best in the future.

THE FOURTH OF JULY IS COMING

and with it comes lots of scary noises

  • NEED BOARDING? Make your reservation early as we may fill up.

  • FIREWORKS ARE SCARY so be sure the pet area is escape-proof and undamageable.

  • CHECK PET ID AND COLLARS JUST IN CASE OF EMERGENCY.

  • VISITORS CAN BE STRESSFUL. If you are going to need a pet tranquilizer, don't wait until the last minute.

  • GRILLING CAN BE HAZARDOUS. Corn cobs, skewers, and bones can make deadly foreign bodies.

HAVE A SAFE AND STRESS-FREE HOLIDAY!

DID YOU KNOW....

...these are dangerous for dogs to chew?

corn on the cob

It's BBQ season and corn on the cob makes for a delicious family treat, but not for the family dog. It may be tempting to give the dog a leftover corn cob but put it in the trash instead. Dogs readily chew on corn cobs, breaking them into indigestible pieces that become intestinal obstructions. Be safe and have fun this summer!
