WHAT’S NEW ON OUR WEB SITE (since last month)

    MYASTHENIA GRAVIS
Myasthenia gravis is a disease causing muscle weakness, and often megaesophagus.  This is a classical condition interfering with the communication between nerves and muscles. Prognosis depends  heavily on early diagnosis. For more details, visit this page in The Pet Web Library.

    CLOMICALM
Anxiety is a common human problem for which numerous pharmacologic solutions exist. You might not realize that animals have anxiety problems as well, or that human medications are often adapted for animal use. Clomipramine is the only medication actually approved by the FDA for both human and canine use. It is also widely used in cats. Read more information on this page in The Pharmacy Center.

    PREGNANCY TERMINATION
Accidents happen. Unwanted pregnancy in one's pet can be a big inconvenience, a hazard to the pet, as well as a contribution to an extremely over-populated world. There  are choices to be made and we will tell you what they are. Check out this page in The Pet Web Library for more information.

    PIROXICAM
As anti-inflammatory medications become more and more refined, the older ones become used less and less, except for this one. Piroxicam, previously used as an arthritis medication, has been found to have anti-tumor effects especially in regard to bladder cancers. This page in The Pharmacy Center has additional information.

    TRANSITIONAL CELL CARCINOMA
Bloody urine, straining, and discomfort usually means something simple like a bladder infection but sometimes the worst case scenario comes to pass and cancer is present. The Transitional Cell Carcinoma is the most common form of bladder cancer. This article in The Pet Web Library will tell you more about how it is detected and treated.
