    MAST CELL TUMORS
The mast cell is an important inflammatory cell involved in the symptoms of allergy. When the mast cell goes tumerous the inflammation may go body-wide, yet they are not rare by any means (in dogs nearly 20% of all skin tumors are mast cell tumors). Learn more about identifying and treating mast cell tumors in this newest page in The Pet Web Library.

    THE “HARD TO REGULATE” PET
Diabetes mellitus is a common source of questions at the hospital. We have newly remodelled the Diabetes Mellitus Center in The Pet Web Library and added a section on The Difficult to Regulate Pet. Some pets have insulin resistance and it is not as simple to keep their blood sugar at steady levels. Please be our guest and visit this page to find out the causes for this difficulty and ways to deal with it.
